A quick few minutes drive away is Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort with mountain biking, games for the kids of all ages as well as skiing / riding in the winter. Horseback riding in Aspen Meadows which is just on the back side of Dodge Ridge or fishing in the Stanislaus River coming out of Pinecrest Lake in the Strawberry area (just 1 mile away).
