Serene, Spacious and Sophisticated 1BR Coop! Welcome to 277 Washington Avenue Apt. 3A, a large and lovely pre-war 1 BR coop apartment nestled along one of Clinton Hill's most grand and picturesque tree-lined blocks. Located in the Francine Towers, a six-story Romanesque-style elevator building built circa 1905, this generously proportioned and beautifully cared-for apartment is the perfect place to call home. Step off the elevator and into your generous entry foyer, where you can drop your packages and tuck your things away in the large coat closet and begin to enjoy your quiet respite from the city just outside. The large foyer currently has an additional double wide storage closet that was incorporated into the space but can easily be reconfigured to accommodate a desk and be used as a work-from-home office space if desired. Just ahead is the large living and dining room, with two big windows, high ceilings, original picture rails and original basket-weave patterned hardwood oak floors throughout. This room easily fits a table large enough to host a dinner party for 8, a roomy couch, media console and a lounge chair or two. Pass through the adjacent hallway into the sunny and spacious bedroom, with two west facing windows that look out over the leafy brownstone-lined street below. There is ample room to fit a king-sized bedroom set in addition to a cozy reading nook or additional WFH area and features another large floor-to-ceiling closet as well. The roomy kitchen has tons of counter space and both upper and lower cabinetry and features all stainless appliances including a dishwasher, and there's also plenty of room for a friend or two to keep you company while you cook! And at the end of the evening, step into a nice hot bath in your marble-tiled bathroom and unwind from your day. Francine Towers is perfectly located in the true heart of Clinton Hill - one block from Pratt Institute and surrounded by countless wonderful neighborhood restaurants, shops, and cultural hotspots, with both Fort Greene Park and Underwood Park right nearby. One block to the G subway and a few minutes to the A and C lines makes commuting a breeze. Pets are welcome, and bicycle storage (small additional fee) and a large common laundry room are on site for all residents. Subletting is allowed after two years of ownership with board approval, and pied-a-terre's, co-purchasing and parents purchasing for adult children will all be considered. Don't miss this opportunity to own a special piece of Brooklyn history in one of its most vibrant and beloved neighborhoods. Showings are by appointment only. Please call or email to schedule.
